An entrance permit is required to install a new entrance on your property, to change the location of an existing one, or to install a second entrance.

The Township of Madawaska Valley issues many types of applications, licenses, and permits to help you access municipal services.

Application for Entrance or Paved Entrance

Madawaska Valley Fire Department requires all residents to have a burn permit for fires that meet the following criteria:
- Burning activities take place between April 1 and October 31.
- Fire is over a two foot radius.
Change the mailing address the Township uses to send you correspondence.
The registered property owner(s) are the only authorized personnel eligible to complete change of address forms. If the name provided does not correspond with our records, your address change may not be accepted.
Commercial businesses doing business within the Township of Madawaska Valley may apply to be invoiced regularly, rather than pay per use, for tipping fees.
To be a delegation at a regular council or committee meeting, you must complete this form. The CAO/Clerk reserves the right to designate the request to the appropriate meeting upon review of the completed form.
Invite the Mayor to your Event
Invite the Mayor, or another representative from Council, to your next event! The Mayor welcomes invitations of all kinds, including but not limited to openings or anniversaries of businesses and organizations, special events and community gatherings, and community functions.
Charitable gaming lottery licences are issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and by municipalities in Ontario. You can apply at the Clerk's Office for specific types of licenses.

The Clerk's Offices issues marriage licenses on behalf of the Province of Ontario. A license is valid for three months from the date it is issued, and only registered or civil marriage officiants can perform marriages in Ontario.
