Barry's Bay BIA

The Barry's Bay BIA encourages and promotes commercial business development within the Barry's Bay downtown area.

Barry's Bay Recreation Committee

The BBRC is a volunteer based committee aimed at enhancing recreation in the Barry's Bay area.

Combermere Recreation Committee

Providing recreational programming and events in Combermere and area.

Zurakowski Park Committee

This volunteer committee provides oversight and advocacy at Barry's Bay's Zurakowski Park.

Combermere Heritage Society

Learn about local Combermere history and take a virtual walk through the Mission House Museum.

Lakeshore Tennis Committee

This volunteer committee advocates on behalf of the municipal tennis courts, as well as provides input on programming and capital requirements.

Community Organizations

Community Resource Centre

CRC provides resources for people across the county, including EarlyON children programs and senior and youth programs.

Opeongo Seniors Centre

Opeongo Seniors is a volunteer-run drop-in centre and meeting place for seniors in Barry's Bay and surrounding area.

Madawaska Valley Food Bank

Our local food bank collects, stores, and distributes food to people in need. 

Royal Canadian Legion

Branch 406, located in Barry's Bay, supports veterans, takes part in remembrance activities, and offers events and social gatherings.

Barry's Bay Farmer's Market

Fridays from 11am-4pm from May long weekend to Thanksgiving at the Barry's Bay Legion, 250 John Street in Barry's Bay.

Combermere Farmer's Market

Saturdays from mid-June to October, 8-11am. Located at the Combermere Community Centre.

Madawaska Valley Lion's Club

Established in 1953, the MV Lions raise funds for the community and volunteer their time towards programming.

Madawaska Valley Horticultural Society

This group plants and maintains beds around the Township, and holds monthly meetings and education sessions, as well as plant and seed sales seasonally.

Opeongo Snowbirds

The Snowbirds advocate for and maintain trails in and around Combermere, Barry's Bay, and Wilno.

Peterson Pathfinders

Maintainers and advocates for trails in Combermere and south into Hastings County.

Carson, Trout, Lepine and Greenan Lakes Association

Property owners dedicated to the preservation, protection and health of Carson,Trout, Lepine & Greenan lakes, surrounding lands, wildlife and ecosystem.

Kaszuby Cottagers’ Association

Founded in 1968, the Kaszube Cottagers Association is made up of lakefront property owners on Wadsworth Lake, Halfway (Long) Lake, Dam Lake, Frank Lake, Campbell Lake and Kuiack Lake.

Kamaniskeg & Area Property Owners Association

KAPOA is a volunteer-based organization representing the interests of property owners on Kamaniskeg Lake.

Palmer Rapids and Area Lions Club

Founded in 1990, the Palmer Lions call the Combermere Community Centre home.

Stationkeepers MV

A group of volunteers committed to the preservation and enhancement of the Railway Station and Water Tower Park in Barry's Bay.

Wilno Recreation Corporation

Organizes community events and involvement at their outdoor rink, located at 5 Shalla Street in Wilno.

Wilno Heritage Society

Remembering and celebrating Wilno as the oldest Polish settlement in Canada and Canada's Kashub heartland. Visit them seasonally at Wilno Heritage Park.
