Your Council

The Mayor and Councillors are governors of the Township, playing an important role in providing key services to the community. The decisions made at public meetings provide direction and oversight to the operations of the Township.

Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, except in July. Click here to access our Council calendar. The public are welcome to attend Council meetings, which are also available to stream live or after they air on our Youtube channel.

The 2022 election saw Mark Willmer elected to the position of Mayor, and Mary Blank, Shelley Maika, Joseph Olsheski, and David Shulist elected to the positions of Councillor.

In March of 2025, Councillor Olsheski resigned, creating a vacancy on Council which was filled via appointment by Ernie Peplinskie. The following month, Mayor Mark Willmer passed away. Council opted to fill the seat with an exisiting Councillor, and David Shulist moved from the position of Councillor to the position of Mayor. Council filled his vacant Councillor seat via appointment with Joseph Cybulskie. In December of 2025, Councillor Peplinski passed away, creating yet another vacancy on Council. Council opted to appoint Linda Neuman to fill this vacant seat for the remainder of the term.
