By-Law Enforcement

Bylaws and their enforcement are crucial to providing all residents with a safe, clean, and respectful community. Our municipal bylaw officers are dedicated to public education and, when necessary, enforcement actions. Bylaw should be contacted for the following concerns:

  • Excessive noise
  • Property standards
  • Littering or illegal dumping
  • Lost or loose dogs
  • Parking issues
  • Zoning bylaw violations
  • Building permit infractions

By-Law Enforcement

Municipal bylaw officers respond to complaints and perform public education duties. When necessary, enforcement actions are taken.

To report an incident or concern to the bylaw officer, please contact us at 613-756-2747 x235 or by email.

Animal Services

The Township is responsible for animal control and works with the community to decrease loose or lost dogs and other pet-related incidents.

  • To report a lost or found dog, contact the Township Office. Other dog-related incidents, such as animal noise, can be reported to the bylaw officer.
  • All dogs within the Township must be licensed and have a tag. The onetime cost of a dog license fee is $25, and the tag lasts the lifetime of the dog. Dog tags allow the animal control officer to quickly and easily identify a found dog's owners and reunite them. Failure to comply may result in a fine.
  • Pet owners are required to clean up after their pet. Dog waste should be picked up and disposed of in the garbage. Those found to be not cleaning up after their pet may be subject to a fine.
