Drawing Contest 2026 is the 25th anniversary of the Township of Madawaska Valley! Draw your favourite place or favourite thing to do in MV and submit a hard copy to the Madawaska Valley Public Library by February 10 2026. Winners will be announced on February 14. Open to ages 0-17 in three categories: under 8, 8-13 years old, 14-17 years old. Cash prizes in each category. No digital art accepted. Brought to you by the Madawaska Valley Public Library. |

Join us for the inaugural Flannel Fest, a midwinter community celebration in Madawaska Valley!
This community inspired celebration has something for everyone taking place across the Township! Check out the schedule below, and note the times, locations, and costs of some activities. Funds made at these events go directly to the groups hosting the event.

The Ghost Train “Ghost Riders of the Opeongo Line:” A rousing three-act play presented by the Opeongo Readers’ Theatre about a wild night in the old Barry’s Bay train station back in May, 1933 when more than a few hair-raising things go bump in the night. Needle and Thread: Embracing Tradition A celebration of fibre activities practiced by our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Demonstrations of embroidery, spinning, knitting, looms, quilting, and fabric creations. Practice swatches will be available in some areas, and hands-on experience in others. Children's activities will be included, and small craft projects to be included on site with instruction and assistance included. Brought to you by the Wilno Heritage Society. |
