Notice of Application & Public Meeting: August 5 2026 (A 26 04)

In the matter of Section 45 of the Planning Act, the Township of Madawaska Valley hereby gives Notice of an Application for Minor Variance.

Subject Lands: 621B Kuiack Lake Road, being part of Lot 27, Concession 10, in the geographic Township of Radcliffe, Township of Madawaska Valley.

Purpose and Effect: The purpose and effect of the Minor Variance application is to reduce the required front yard depth from 7.5 metres to 3.66 metres to allow for the construction of a dwelling.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Madawaska Valley Committee of Adjustment will hold a public hearing in accordance with Section 45 of the Planning Act on August 5th, 2026 at 9:45 a.m.

This meeting will be held both in-person at the Township of Madawaska Valley Municipal Office located at 85 Bay Street, Barry’s Bay and virtually via Zoom. Additionally, the meeting will be recorded and made available for viewing on the Madawaska Valley YouTube Channel.

Participation: Any member of the public wishing to provide comments related to the application may do so in writing at any time prior to the meeting or orally during the meeting (in-person or virtual).

Written comments can be submitted to the undersigned until August 4th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Township of Madawaska Valley Committee of Adjustment on the Minor Variance application, you must provide your name and address to the Township Office. Additional information regarding the Minor Variance is available for inspection at the Township of Madawaska Valley Municipal office during regular office hours.

NOTE: One of the purposes of the Planning Act is to provide for planning processes that are open, accessible, timely and efficient. Accordingly, all written submissions, documents, correspondence, e-mails or other communications (including your name and address) form part of the public record and will be disclosed/made available by the Municipality to such persons as the Municipality sees fit, including anyone requesting such information. Accordingly, in providing such information, you shall be deemed to have consented to its use and disclosure as part of the planning process.
