MV 2025 Photo Contest: Enter Now!

It’s back! The Township of Madawaska Valley is now accepting entries for its annual photo contest. Photos must be taken within the Township, and both residents and visitors are welcome to enter! With four great categories, there are four chances to win! Each category winner receives a $100 gift card to the local (MV based) business of their choice.

2025 Categories:

• JUST ADD WATER: Views of the lake, splashing in the sprinkler, a day spent in the boat – if your photo has water in it, we want to see it!
• SUMMER SKIES: Whether its a particularly lovely sunset, a bluebird day, or a particularly foreboding stormy sky, show us the skies you’re capturing this year.
• LOCAL LANDMARKS: Take a particularly lovely shot of a local landmark? Let’s see what you got! What’s a local landmark, you ask? There is no definitive list, but you sure know it when you see it!
• SUNNY SNACKS:  Grow some amazing tomatoes in the garden this year? Grilling on the deck? Enjoying some ice cream with the kids? Let’s see those summer snacks, meals, and drinks!

Email entries to recreation@madawaskavalley.ca. Include your name, the location of the photo, and the category you are entering.

Rules:

• Photos must be taken withing the Township of Madawaska Valley to be eligible.
• Participants may submit multiple entries in multiple categories.
• Entries must be taken by the participant submitting the photo. Minor editing is allowed (brightness, contrast, cropping), but no AI-generated images or photos will filtered will be considered.
• Watermarks or signatures must be removed or minimal.
• All entries must be received by September 1 2025.
• By entering, participants grant the Township of Madawaska Valley to display, publish, or promote the submitted images on social media or print publications, with credit.
