Changes Coming to Curbside Pickup

Effective January 1, 2026, the Township will be transitioning to producer responsibility model for blue box packaging and products, as required by the Province of Ontario. This will result in some changes to those who receive curbside pickup, but most things remain the same.

WHAT'S CHANGING

• Recycling at residential properties will no longer be picked up by Township staff.
• If you have an issue with your recycling pickup, you must contact the contractor directly.
• The types of materials being picked up will be expanded! You will be able to recycle more items starting in January. Click here to see what you can recycle in the new year.

WHAT'S STAYING THE SAME

• There are no changes to pickup of garbage, ash, or organic waste. The changes only apply to recycling.
• You will continue to receive a single waste collection calendar that includes information on all types of waste pickup.
