MVFD Receives Equipment Donation

The Township of Madawaska Valley is thrilled to be the recipients of an equipment donation from Global Medic. The company recently donated wildfire skids to multiple fire departments within Renfrew County, including the Madawaska Valley Fire Department.

This unit, which can be mounted to a trailer, all terrain vehicle, or pickup truck, will be crucial in our team’s efforts on fighting fires deep in the bush. The unit, which retails for about $10,000, has a 1000 litre tank, hose and pump to allow water to be distributed further than firetrucks can reach.

Fire Chief Corwin Quade would like to thank Renfrew County Paramedic Commander Steve Osipenko, who facilitated the donation, and Global Medic for their generous and significant donation to the MVFD.
