The Township of Madawaska Valley is a growing community in the Ottawa Valley, just two hours from Ottawa and less than an hour to Algonquin Provincial Park. Home to just over 4,000 (and with a massive seasonal population), our residents enjoy countless recreational opportunities on our many lakes, trails, and backroads, as well as excellent healthcare services and local schools, shopping and restaurants in our three population centres, and numerous events and festivals throughout the year. We’re currently seeking a Deputy Clerk to join our team.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)/Clerk, the Deputy-Clerk is responsible to fulfill the statutory requirements of the municipal clerk when the Clerk is absent, serve council as its corporate secretary, liaise between council and the public, and provide general administrative assistance to the CAO/Clerk.
