Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

The Municipal Office will be following Provincial Guidelines and will be closed to the public.  To speak to a staff member or to book an appointment please call 613-756-2747 of email staff between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday or  8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Tax and water/wastewater payments can be made directly through your bank and a drop box is available at the Municipal office at the left of the main door.

The Township of Madawaska Valley Community Control Group continues to work closely with the Renfrew County District Health Unit and community partners to monitor to COVID-19 Virus(Coronavirus) and respond appropriately. Renfrew County has a new pandemic healthcare service to strengthen access to primary care and reduce the demand on our Emergency Departments.
If you have a health concern and don’t have a family physician or access to your family physician, call the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre at 1-844-727-6404 to connect with care and support from a nurse practitioner, family physician and/or community paramedic.

If you or a family member suspect you have symptoms of COVID-19, please self-isolate and contact the Renfrew County District Health Unit at 613-735-8654 or contact Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000.

If you have a fever and/or new onset of cough or difficulty breathing AND
In the 14 days before symptom onset, you have:
• been to a COVID-19 impacted area, or
• you have been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19, or
• you have been in close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has been to a COVID-19 impacted area, please delay your visit AND contact Telehealth Ontario
(1-866-797-0000), or your health care provider, or your local public health unit.
